Cape Breton Regional Police are investing a single-vehicle collision on the Eskasoni Highway near Islandview March 22nd.
Officers were called to respond at approximately 7:30 PM, where Fire Services and EHS were working at a vehicle in the trees several hundred feet from the roadway that witnesses had helped to locate. EHS pronounced the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 20-year-old male, deceased at the scene.
Traffic Safety investigators attended to process the scene, had the vehicle towed for mechanical inspection and continue to investigate. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family during this difficult time.
