Charges are pending against a man from Sydney Mines in connection to a stabbing April 2nd.
Cape Breton Regional Police responded to reports of an altercation between two individuals in an apartment complex on Burchell Street Wednesday afternoon; one man was transported to Cape Breton Regional Hospital by EHS for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, and the second man had already left the scene. Members of the K-9 Team attended the scene to assist, but officers were unable to locate him. Police continue attempts to locate the second man today.
Both individuals are known to each other, and police are treating this as an isolated incident.
