The Cape Breton Regional Police Service, in partnership with the people, is committed to serve and protect our community. We value integrity, accountability, transparency and the highest professional standards.

If you feel that you have been treated improperly by a CBRPS officer, that an officer has not behaved properly, or if you have a complaint against the police service in general, you have the opportunity to file a complaint through the Nova Scotia Police Complaint Commissioner’s Office. Forms can be picked up in person at CBRPS headquarters (865 Grand Lake Road, Sydney).

*Please note, you must make your complaint in writing to the Nova Scotia Police Complaint Commissioner’s Office within 12 (twelve) months of the incident.
