Police investigating robbery in downtown Glace Bay

September 18, 2015

At approximately 9:40 PM last night, Cape Breton Regional Police were called to reports of a robbery in the parking lot of a drug store in downtown Glace Bay. Two women - aged 58 and 90 - were walking to their vehicle from the store when a car drove up next to them and a male passenger reached out the window and ripped the purse off the shoulder of one woman. The two suspects then quickly left the area.

Police later located a vehicle matching the description of the one used in this crime; two men aged 30 and 28 were arrested and the vehicle seized. Police continue to investigate.
