Police investigating home invasion in Louisbourg

July 22, 2016

Cape Breton Regional Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred in Louisbourg earlier this morning. At approximately 4:55 AM, police received a report that a man was awoken by two men who had kicked in the door to the residence and began beating the male. They then fled the scene. Police do not believe any belongings were taken from the property at this time.

The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Member of the CBRPS Major Crime Unit continue to investigate.
