A 14-year-old boy from Glace Bay was driving his bike in the area when he was struck and knocked to the ground. He suffered non-life threatening injuries to his leg and was taken to the Glace Bay General Hospital. The victim described the truck as a Blue Nissan with lots of stickers on it, and described the driver of the vehicle as a male who appeared to be in his twenties.  

 Police are requesting the assistance from the general public in regards to a possible witness to this accident. The driver of a truck bearing Alberta plates may have witnessed the accident as he transported the injured youth to a nearby gas station where the boy’s parents were called.
