Police lay drug trafficking charges

March 31, 2015

Police have charged a 54-year-old New Waterford man with drug trafficking charges after searching a Heelan Street residence.

James Albert MacPhee will appear in Sydney Provincial Court on July 13, 2015, to face charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Hydromorphone and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Methyphenidate.  

Members of the Cape Breton Regional Police Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act on March 27th, seizing Hydromorphone and Methyphenidate pills.

MacPhee was arrested and later released on a Promise to Appear in Court.
