Police charge man for drug trafficking

January 8, 2015

A 45-year-old North Sydney man will appear in Sydney Provincial Court today to face drug trafficking charges, after the Cape Breton Regional Police Street Crime Unit and RCMP Drug Section executed a search under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Sheldon Vaughan Leroy is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Hydromorphone and a Breach.

At approximately 7:00 PM on January 7th, police searched a residence on George Street in Sydney, arresting Leroy and a 32-year-old female and seizing Hydromorphone and cash. The female was later released without charges
