September 20, 2013

Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Cape Breton Regional Police Drug Sections executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act this morning at a residence on Dominion Street in Whitney Pier, seizing over 300 Oxycodone prescription pills and arresting a 49-year-old male and 30-year-old female

The male, currently bound by a Conditional Sentence Order for House Arrest as the result of a previous conviction under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, will be remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre to appear in Sydney Provincial Court on September 23rd, when he’ll face new drug trafficking charges. The female is also currently bound by conditions and will be charged with breaching court orders as well as drug possession charges when she also appears in Court on the 23rd.
