Man faces drug possession, trafficking charges

Members of the Cape Breton Regional Police Street Crime unit and RCMP Drug Section executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act on a vehicle and MacDonald Crescent residence in Sydney Mines last night, seizing a quantity of Cocaine, Hydromorphone and cash, as well as a 2010 Ford Mustang for a pending proceeds of crime investiation.

Police arrested a male who remains in police custody for an appearance in Sydney Provincial Court this morning, where he'll face charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession of Hydromorphone and a Breach of Probation.
