54-year-old Charles William Russell, of Sackville NB is charged with Possession for the Purpose to Traffic in Oxycodone and 53-year-old Roderick Stephen Russell, of Etobicoke ON is charged with Possession for the Purpose to Traffic in Methylphenidate (Ritalin). The Street Crime Unit arrested the pair after a vehicle stop Friday, September 26th, on Duke Street in Glace Bay; with a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, police seized Oxycodone and Methylphenidate, with an estimated street value of over $6,000. Both men were remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre Saturday until today’s Court appearance.

The Cape Breton Regional Police Street Crime Unit made a second pair of arrests Saturday, September 27th after a vehicle stop in the parking lot of Dooly’s Pool Hall on Sterling Road in Glace Bay. With a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, police seized drugs – Hydromorphone, Dilaudid, Dexadrine and Clonazepam – with an estimated street value of $4,500, as well as a large quantity of cash. 31-year-old Jodi Lynn Murphy of Lower Sackville and 29-year-old Matthew Ian Sinclaire of Halifax, are both charged with: 2 counts of Possession for the Purpose to Traffic in Hydromorphone, Possession for the Purpose to Traffic in Dextroamphetamine and Trafficking Methylphenidate (Ritalin). Both were remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre Saturday, until today’s Court appearance.
