A male suspect entered the store with a scarf covering his face and passed the female clerk a note demanding money.The clerk moved the scarf covering the male's face and he fled out of the store. The store manager followed the suspect and was able to stop him at the rear of the store, just as police arrived on scene at which time they arrested the man. No one was injured.

Members of the K9, Forensic Identification and Major Crime Units were called to assist with the investigation and police later charged the 56-year-old man. Milton Lawrence Hall was remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre until an appearance in Sydney Provincial Court on March 31st, to face charges of Attempted Robbery, Wearing a Disguise and three Breaches.
