Media Releases

Chad Pierre Youssef (27, Sydney River), Bradley Shane Axworthy (37, Howie Centre), Brian William Spinney (29, Glace Bay) and Taylor Giroux (27, Membertou) are all charged with Arson to Damage Property and Conspiracy to Commit Arson at A1 Pizza.

Youssef and Axworthy face 2 additional charges of Arson to Damage Property and Conspiracy to Commit Arson for vehicle fires in June of 2012 and July of 2013, which were both reported stolen by Youseff and later found burnt.

Youseff also faces 3 charges of Arson for a Fraudulent Purpose, 3 charges of Misleading Police and 1 charge for Unsafe Storage of a Firearm.

Spinney and Giroux both face additional charges for Breaches.

Police originally responded to the fire at A-1 Pizza on the morning of February 11th; deemed suspicious by the Fire Marshall’s Office, the fire was referred to police. Through investigation, led by the CBRPS Arson Investigator, police were able to connect the men to the incident and further learned of their involvement with the vehicle fires. All four were arrested over the course of the weekend.
