Investigation led Cape Breton Regional Police to arrest her July 16th; she was held in police custody for questioning and will be charged with Aggravated Assault, Wearing a Disguise with Intent to Commit an Offence, and a Breach, when she appears in Court today.

Police originally responded to reports of an injured male just before midnight on July 14th, where staff at the Superstore had located him in their parking lot. The 48-year-old male victim – formerly of Truro, who had been staying in this area – was transported by EHS to Cape Breton Regional Hospital with serious head injuries and later to Halifax for further treatment. He remains in serious condition in Halifax hospital.

Police also have a second suspect – a 25-year-old male from Sydney Mines – in custody, and members of the Major Crime Unit continue to investigate; further charges are pending.
