Watch CommandersImplemented in 2009, Watch Commanders provide 24/7 supervision of CBRPS operations, managing all officers and resources across the entire CBRM. This regional approach to service delivery ensures patrols - and citizens - have equal access to resources to meet their needs, wherever and whenever they arise. Watch Commanders work with the Platoon Sergeants, Jailers, individual officers, and other team or unit leaders to address incidents and make important decisions regarding resources. Acting as leaders within the CBRPS, Watch Commanders also play a key role in motivating officers and ensuring professional standards are met. In conjunction with the Communications/Public Relations Advisor, Watch Commanders are an additional point of contact with the media, releasing information on incidents and investigations as required. |
