Police charge two for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine

On Tuesday December 6, 2011 the Cape Breton Regional Police Drug Section; with the assistance of the New Glasgow Police Service, obtained information that led to the arrest of an adult male and an adult female.

The 21 year old male and 25 year old female from the New Glasgow area were arrested in the Bras d’Or area of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality. Both are currently in police custody and are facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine. They will appear in Sydney Provincial Court in the morning.

A large quantity of cocaine and cash was seized. A 2002 Mercedes Benz was also seized as offence related property.
