Police lay drug-related charges after executing search warrant

On Thursday May 17th 2012 at 6:30 p.m., the Cape Breton Regional Police Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence on St Peters Road in Sydney. As a result of this search, police arrested a 20-year-old male and a 20-year-old female in the residence. Police seized a quantity of marihuana and cash at this time. The male was released and will appear in Sydney Provincial Court on Monday 16 July 2012 facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Marihuana and Trafficking in Marihuana.
